During the walking tour, you will see the most important sights of the city centre and learn the essentials about the city of Tampere, its history, current know-how, culture and diverse events.

During the ice hockey world championship games, walking tours in English are held daily Mon-Sun 13-29 May 2022 at 12.00-13.30. The tour starts and ends in front of Tampere railway station. Duration 1,5 hours.

10€/adults, 5€/children (aged 7 to 15 years)
Children under 7 years free of charge.

Want to see the best of Tampere while sitting comfortably on the bus? Then this sightseeing tour is for you! Our authorized professional tourist guides will show you Tampere in a nutshell. During this sightseeing tour, you will see the most important sights of the city centre and learn the essentials about the city of Tampere, its history, current know-how, culture, and diverse events. We´ll hop off the bus to admire the magnificent sceneries from Pispalanharju and/or visit one particular site or place of interest (i.e. Tampere Cathedral, Tampere Market Hall, Pyynikki Observation Tower, historical Finlayson factory area etc). The tour starts and ends at the Old Church in the Central Square. Duration 1,5 hours or as agreed. The tour (theme, route, duration, starting point etc.) can also be tailored according to your wishes together with the guide.

Walking tour: By the rushing rapids of Tammerkoski
This walking tour takes you close to the beautiful sceneries and interesting attractions in the very heart of Tampere! The shores of Tammerkoski rapids are full of history, nature, bridges, architecture, culture, industrial past, and new urban life which we can explore on a walking tour in the city centre along the rapids. The tour starts at the Old Church in the Central Square. Duration 1,5 hours or as agreed. The tour (theme, route, duration, starting point etc.) can also be tailored according to your wishes together with the guide.

Walking tour: The industrial past of Tampere
This walking tour takes you to the banks of Tammerkoski rapids to hear more about the industrial past of Tampere! You will see the old factory areas of the Finlayson cotton mill, which once was the largest textile company in Finland, and the Tampella factory, which merged the linen and metal industries. You will see a lot of beautiful old red-brick factory buildings and learn about their history and current use. The tour starts at the Old Church in the Central Square. Duration 1,5 hours or as agreed. The tour (theme, route, duration, starting point etc.) can also be tailored according to your wishes together with the guide.
